Do you need a therapist?

It’s common for the artist to avoid therapy for fear it might rob them of their creative drive. Sometimes life brings challenges and disappointments that can easily overwhelm you and affect your creativity. It is helpful to work with someone who can help guide and support you through those times.

It takes courage to share your struggles with another. I provide a safe, nurturing and non-judgmental environment, where together we can explore those dynamics keeping you stuck as well as those that are working.

I also believe within you lies an innate and powerful motivation to move towards a more balanced place. Therapy can help you discover and reconnect with your personal and unique strengths. Together we will explore a path towards creating the life you desire and becoming the person you envision yourself to be.

How am I different from other therapists?

With an extensive background in the arts and knowledge of the creative personality, I understand the unique qualities and struggles of the artist. I am fully attentive to how your ability to create is intimately intertwined with your self-worth and wellbeing. With the awareness that creative individuals process life and the world uniquely, I provide an integrative approach to therapy.

By honoring your need to preserve who you are as an artist, I can help you move towards achieving a more balanced inner and outer life, without squelching your creative energy or artistic passion.
